Lake Alakol

Alakol is an endorheic salt lake in eastern Kazakhstan on the border of Abay and Jetisu regions. Area about 2.7 thousand km², depth up to 54 m. Known for clear water, healing mud and brine, beaches and resort infrastructure on the north and south shores.

Families enjoy Alakol for warm water, gentle entry, sanatoriums and bases with meals and activities. Reachable by car via the A-3 highway or via Oskemen and Semey.
